I, Joaguin Garcia Ageo late master of the $.S."Rio Pasig" now of Victoria, Hongkong, make oath and say as follows:-

I am the late master of the "Rio Pasig".

The "Rio Pasig" left Karatsu on the 28th July, 1914, for Hanila. We went down to Karatsu, Japan, to fetch a cargo of coal.

We took in 4,600 tons of coal there.

The coal was consigned to the owners of the "Rio Pasig" in

We left Manila on the 7th August, 1914, with the said cargo

we took no other cargo · of coal having cleared for Cuam

6. We took four passengers. I do not know their nationality because they come on board late and had not passed the customs.

I think they were Germans.

They did not get off at Guam.

We did not discharge any coal at Guam.

At Guam I received orders from the Captain of the S.S.

"Supply" an American Transport to proceed to Yap.

11. We received orders from Manila to proceed to Guam there to get further orders. I had no orders from Manila to discharge the coal at any particular place.

The four passengers went with us on to Yap.

Between Manila and Yap I had no conversation with the four passengers as to why they were on board or where they were going to and I did not enquire. They had no passenger tickets. I had no passenger manifest in respect of these four passengers.

14. We arrived at Yap on the 21st August 1914 but were not allowed to go ashore.

The four passengers went ashore and on remained ashore.
